Job based in Kent, Surrey, London and surrounding areas, occasional travel required to office in Tenterden, Kent

Challenge Control is a fast-growing AV installation company and are now seeking a talented Crestron Control System Programmer to join our team.

The programmer will be part based in our office in Kent and part based out on site which are pre-dominantly in Kent, Surrey and London.

The applicant must have 3 years minimum of Crestron programming experience, Control 4 & KNX experience would be an added bonus.

Main responsibilities:
  • Possess thorough and comprehensive knowledge of AV control systems and design.
  • Comfortable with interacting and understanding clients’ needs and managing expectations.
  • Strong grasp of Audio & Video including signal flow, equipment functionality and programming.
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with clients and other trades Experienced in coordinating with audio visual engineers and customers to develop touch panel designs and solutions.
  • Ability to trouble-shoot complex audio, video, switching and control systems problems.
  • Energetic, organized, able to multi task and who can work independently with little supervision.
  • Ability to diagnose/troubleshoot and resolve service issues related to Integrated AV systems.
  • Hands on experience with deploying/testing code remotely and on jobsites.
  • Knowledge of standard software for DSP set-up, switcher set-up, etc.
  • Crestron control system programming.
  • Writing Crestron programs in simple windows for large residential projects interfacing all services found in large high end projects.
  • Commissioning hardware and deploying software on site working alongside experienced engineers to troubleshoot issues.
  • Working under the Technical director and project managers to manage timescales and ensure projects are completing as and when required.
  • Aid designers with technical knowledge that will help speed up deployment of the project whilst making the most of all possible feature.
  • Need to use graphical software to create stunning visual designs optimised for hardware.
  • User interface design.
  • Audio DSP layouts and programming.
  • Quality control testing in the field.
  • Programming of other manufacturer control systems.
