AV Project Manager

Full Time

7.00am – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday

Based in Tenterden, Kent

This role is likely to involve travel to central London and Surrey.

As Challenge Control is steadily expanding, an exciting position has become available for an experienced AV Project Manager. The successful candidate will join our dynamic Project Management team and will be responsible for managing some of the most impressive projects within the AV industry, both in the UK.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Client/ contract management from sales hand over to ultimate project completion.
  • Project management responsibilities involving client team meetings, project programmes, technical submittals, AV plan/ elevations, drawing management & financial documentation management.
  • Technical briefing and management of third party specialist contractors for external interfacing of systems.
  • Managing/ working with the Challenge Control engineering, office support & programming teams prior to and during the installation phase to completion of the project.
  • Assuming overall control of the direction and success of projects, working in a professional way to achieve the client objectives within budget and on time.
  • Managing costings and billing for a project including profit and loss and cashflow spreadsheets.
  • Completion of purchase orders in line with the procurement system.
  • Paying special attention to building the client relationship, reflecting Challenge Control and its ethos at all times.
Knowledge & Essential Skills Required:
  • Proven success in AV Project Management of automated systems utilising Crestron &/or AMX.
  • Ability to produce project documentation to a high standard.
  • Experience dealing with architects, interior designers, client representatives, MEP consultants, technical subcontractors & project teams. Most importantly managing the VIP private client relationship.
Desired previous experience, certification, and training:
  • Minimum three years of AV project management with a reputable residential/ commercial AV company.
  • Current and working understanding of AV solutions, including but not limited to, residential automation, lighting control, IT networks, audio/ video distribution, audio/ video technical aspects, HVAC control, satellite TV distribution & telephony.
  • A strong understanding of the capabilities of control systems (such as Crestron & AMX) is essential.
  • Experience on the job is essential and will be highly regarded; therefore, industry based qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
